Milc brings retro vibes and South African youth culture into everyday casual wear.

I am a professional multimedia editor, 3D animator, and model based in Johannesburg, South Africa. My creative journey began at six, hand-sewing clothes with my older sister for our Bratz dolls. By age ten, I learned to use a sewing machine and have been making my own clothing ever since. I founded ‘Milc’—a play on my pseudonym ‘Breastmilc’—to commercialize my life-long craft and offer fun, casual everyday wear for South African youth. My goal is simple: let people wear shweshwe to the groove. This brand lets young South Africans express cultural pride in casual settings, beyond just weddings and funerals. It aims to bring traditional Southern African prints into modern fashion, creating a bridge between heritage and contemporary style. By doing so, I hope to not only create beautiful clothing but also foster a sense of community and identity among those who wear it, reminding them of their roots while enjoying the vibrant urban culture that surrounds us. Through 'Milc', I strive to inspire creativity and confidence in the next generation, encouraging them to embrace their individuality and heritage through fashion.
